We size the unit by flow rate for your peak use, then check what the house can feed it: gas line size and length, meter capacity, and a vent route for indoor units. Outdoor units avoid venting entirely and are common in Houston. The unit is mounted, connected with isolation valves for future descaling, and set to temperature.

Where gas needs upsizing or a new vent is required, that work is in the quote. A tankless installed on an undersized gas line is the most common cause of tankless complaints, and we do not do it.

01Will a tankless unit supply the whole house?

If it is sized for your peak use, yes. A unit sized too small will struggle when two showers and the washer run together. We size by flow rate, not by the box.

02Do I need a bigger gas line?

Often. A tankless unit draws far more gas while running than a tank heater. We check the line size, length and meter capacity and include any upsizing in the quote.

03Indoor or outdoor?

Outdoor units are common in Houston, avoid venting, and are simpler to install. Indoor units need a vent route and are chosen when there is no suitable outside wall.

04How much maintenance does a tankless need?
